Scarecrow cooking
Last week we read the story The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything. This book is a class favorite. I will write another post to explain some of things we do with this book. Anyway at the end of the week we did a cooking activity to make our own scarecrows. I found the original idea here. If you click on the link there is a list of the ingredients and directions on how it was made. I modified it a tiny bit so that we did not have to buy as much. This activity worked on student's IEP goals for spreading with a knife, following directions, and cutting with a knife (some students cut the cookie up to make it easier to eat) As you can see in the pictures, everyone had their own unique scarecrow.
