Currently July!

I just realized that I forgot all about Currently for July. I really do love these little monthly diddys that Farely does. It gives me a chance to meet new bloggers and remind me of ones I have checked out before and forgot to go back to. So, without further delay, here it is!

Listening:  Yesterday, Heather over at Teaching Through Turbulence posted about autcraft and A is super excited to get started.  It is a version of minecraft (a popular computer game right now) specifically for kiddos on the spectrum.  How cool is that?

Loving:  I love teaching, but I need a break for a week or 4. Of course I will still be doing teacher related things, just in my living room and not my classroom.

Thinking:  B has been in PA for over a week now spending time with my mom and dad.   I know he is loving it, but it is so quiet without him.

Wanting:  Organization is something I want, but am so bad at.  Anyone want to come help me invent the perfect household and classroom system?

Needing: A's 7th birthday is Friday and I still have not planned his birthday party.  I usually have this all done a month ahead and this year it just got away from me.

Tips, Tricks, or Hints:  If you have a question or need help, just ask!  All of the teacher bloggers I have talked to are super friendly and always willing to help out.

Head over to Farley's blog to discover more great blogs!

Saturday

Currently June!

I am so excited to join back up with the currently wagon. I missed last month, but wanted to make sure I could do this month. So here it is.....

currently

Listening: We love Big Bang Theory in our house!  My kids love it also.  We always joke and say our oldest son, A, will be like Sheldon when he is older.

Loving:  In case you haven't heard or noticed, I finally bought my own domain name (Bazinga!).  I had some trouble getting it to connect with blogger and for everything to switch over. However, after spending some time on the phone with a helpful gentleman at Google, I was finally able to fix it.

Thinking:  In January I started running.  I love running.  I did prior to having kids and it is such a great stress reliever.  I made it through January and into February, but ended up sick and stopped.  Now I just want to start again, which leads me on to......

Wanting:  More time in my day.  More time for exercise, more time to clean up my classroom, more time to blog, and most importantly more time to spend with my family.

Needing:  I desperately need a pedicure and manicure.  I had an appointment scheduled in April, but my due to the passing of my Grandfather (Love ya Pop! ) I canceled it. Now I am slacking on rescheduling.

3 Vacay Essentials:  I would wear flip flops year round if I could.  I now wear a brand called Orthoheel.  They are not cheap, but at the end of the day my back is not out of whack from wearing them.  I also always need my sun glasses and a great book to read while on vacation.  Any suggestions on a read for this summer?

Well that wraps it up!  Sail on over to Farley's blog and check out all of the other's who have linked up.

Monday

Currently April

I really like doing the currently from Farley over at Oh' boy 4th Grade. I get to check out new blogs, plus share some insights with the people who find me interesting enough to read my blog.  If you are looking for some new blogs to follow, definitely check out currently .

listening:  I have been busy trying to clean up the house today, so I am listening to music on one of those music TV stations.

loving:  Ahhhh, Spring Break.  I get to spend the week with these three amazing boys.  (Even if they do drive me bonkers at times)

thinking:  I have been working with some great bloggers to set up a blog hop dedicated to Autism Awareness.   I can't wait to see the outcome!

wanting:  I need serous help with organization both in my classroom and at my house.   I keep telling my husband that the problem is that our house is to small, but really we have a lot of unorganized junk.

needing:  When I was student teaching I ran almost every day.  It was a HUGE stress reliever plus helped me lose a lot of weight.   I really want to start again.  Finding the time is my problem.

advice:  You will never know if you will like blogging or using TPT if you don't try it.  I always thought "who would want to buy my stuff on TPT?"  Amazingly enough, I have made $30 in the past 2 months.  Not a fortune, but I am happy with it.

Thursday

Currently March

Things have been a big insane, crazy, hectic this week. Ugggh!!! With the two hour delay this morning I thought I would type up a quick post. I have wanted to jump on the currently train for awhile so I though, well here is my opportunity. There are lots of great bloggers linked up so check it out!

Listening:  A is playing PlayStation 3.  One of his loves.   Well, really video games are his obession.  If you don't know already, A is diagnosed with PDD-NOS and is on the high end of the Autistic Spectrum.  Video games are his passion and always his go to topic of conversation.  We often compare A to Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory.

Loving:  We have a two hour delay today due to tidal flooding.  I am loving the extra time to work on an IEP, but also not loving that some of my students and coworkers may be experiencing flooding.

Thinking:  We are working on map skills in class.... it is not going well to say the least.  Any ideas?

Wanting:  I have lost my baby weight from C (he will be a year old at the end of this month), but now I want to lose some of it from B, and the eventually A.  (Yes, my kids really do have names that go in alphabetically order, it was not really planned that way.)

Needing:  To make a long story short, my current provider (who we love and B & C have been with their who lives) is retiring.  Now I have to find a new person to trust with my babies.

Like: Cookies!!! Warm, homemade chocolate chip are my favorite.  I am sure this has nothing to do with the my current problem with losing weight.

Love:  Coffee!! I know it is bad when my students tell their parents they want to buy a coffee cup.  Also one of my limited verbally students can say the word coffee clear as a bell.  I must talk about it to much.

Hate: Calories.... I think this one is self explanatory.

Well, that is it!  Head on over to Oh' Boy 4th Grade and check out all of the other great bloggers who have linked up to this months Currently
